If someone else's negligence hurt you in Vermont, you likely have a claim. Let us take a look, at no cost to you.

  • Car and Truck Accidents

Motor vehicle collisions caused by another driver's negligence, distraction, or impairment.

  • Slip, Trip, and Fall

Damages

What you can recover in a Vermont injury case.

"Damages" is the legal word for the harm you've suffered. Vermont law lets injured people recover several categories of damages.

Medical bills — past and future

Emergency care, hospital stays, follow-up appointments, physical therapy, medications, and future care your injury will need.

Lost income and lost earning capacity

Wages you missed during recovery, and any impact on your future ability to earn.

Pain and suffering

The non-economic reality of a serious injury: physical pain, emotional distress, loss of enjoyment of activities you used to do.

Property damage

Repair or replacement of your vehicle or other property damaged in the incident.

Out-of-pocket expenses

Everything you've spent because of the injury: transportation to appointments, medical devices, home modifications.

Our Process

How your case moves forward.

01

Free Case Review

Tell us what happened. We assess whether you have a viable Vermont claim, and if so, we take the case on contingency — no cost to you to get started.

02

Investigation

We gather evidence, obtain medical records, interview witnesses, and consult experts when the case requires it. We build the case so the insurance company can't dismiss it.

03

Demand and Negotiation

We present a documented demand to the insurance company backed by evidence and analysis. Most cases resolve here — through skilled negotiation, not a coin flip.

04

Litigation if Necessary

If the insurance company won't be reasonable, we file suit. We prepare every case as if it will go to trial, which is often exactly what pushes the settlement.

Frequently Asked

Common questions.

What does contingency fee mean?
You pay nothing up front, and no attorney's fee unless we recover for you. Our fee is a percentage of what we obtain through settlement or verdict, calculated on the recovery amount. If we don't win, you owe no attorney's fee.
How much time do I have to file a Vermont personal injury claim?
Generally, Vermont has a three-year statute of limitations for personal injury claims (12 V.S.A. § 512(4)). Some claims — wrongful death, medical malpractice, claims against government entities — have shorter deadlines. Don't wait. Deadlines matter, and evidence gets harder to find with each passing month.
What should I do right after an accident?
Get medical attention. Photograph everything: vehicles, injuries, the scene, road conditions. Get names and phone numbers of any witnesses. Report the incident to police or property management. Don't give a recorded statement to any insurance company until you've spoken with an attorney.
Should I talk to the other side's insurance company?
No — not before speaking with an attorney. Insurance adjusters are trained to obtain statements that limit their exposure. Anything you say can and will be used to reduce your claim. Let us handle the communication.
Do I have to go to court?
Most personal injury matters settle without a trial. But we prepare every case as if it will go to court, because that preparation is exactly what forces reasonable settlement offers. If your case does need to be tried, we'll walk you through every step.
How much is my case worth?
It depends on the severity of your injuries, the strength of the liability case, the available insurance coverage, your economic damages (medical bills, lost wages), and non-economic damages (pain, suffering, loss of enjoyment). We give you a realistic assessment during the case review, not an inflated number designed to sign you up.
